JoveNata Ensemble chamber orchestra was formed in 2021 by the composer and conductor
Michalis Trachalios and by a small cycle of exceptionally talented young musicians of the region
of Thessaloniki, Greece. JoveNata is ensemble in residence of the Municipal Conservatory of
Pylaia – Chortiatis.
The goal and vision of the orchestra is the elevation and communication, both of the so
called “classical” music and also of the contemporary creation, to a broader audience. In
advance, a basic motivation of the ensemble is the continuous search of new ways of expression
and the collaboration with other forms of art such as dance, literature, and theater. Adding to the
above, JoveNata Ensemble explores the limits of music expression via performing new music
and collaborating with musicians from different musical genres.
Bright examples of the aforementioned are: the original dance performance “149” in the
memoriam of the victims of Chortiatis’ massacre (produced by Thessaloniki’s Music Concert
Hall, Municipality of Pylaia-Chortiatis, and with the collaboration of Krama Dance Company
and Bloom Theatrical Company), the participation of Heptapyrgion Festival with the Greek
singer/songwriter Dimitris Zervoudakis and the Mixed Choir of Thessaloniki, and lastly, the
Open Call for young composers in collaboration with the Conservatoire of Pylaia – Chortiatis
and Greek Composers’ Union.
JoveNata Ensmble performed with internationally acclaimed musicians such as: Marcin
Marcovich, Dimitar Ivanov, Danuta Augustin, and has extended its action into educational
procedures in collaboration with the female prison facility of Thiva.
You are all welcome to the magical musical world as viewed through the lenses of
JoveNata Ensemble.
